Job Description
Represent AFGRI Equipment by marketing and selling construction and forestry equipment. Responsibilities include visiting mines, rental, and construction companies to assess their needs, introducing relevant products, and ensuring follow-through on all sales processes.
Requirements
Education/Training:
- Grade 12
- Relevant Sales or Marketing qualification
- Valid driver’s license
Work Experience:
- 3 years of experience in business, sales, and marketing
- Proven sales results with top 5 Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)
- Experience in marketing construction and forestry equipment
Key Performance Areas:
- Marketing Management:
- Manage and execute marketing functions for construction and forestry equipment.
- Procurement and Stock Control:
- Oversee procurement and maintain effective stock control.
- Product Marketing:
- Market John Deere construction and forestry equipment to clients.
- Administration and Reporting:
- Handle administrative tasks and provide regular reports.
Technical Knowledge/Competencies:
- Strong technical knowledge of construction and forestry equipment
- Comprehensive understanding of the construction and forestry (C&F) industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Expertise in client service
Behavioral Competencies:
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Ability to work under extreme environmental conditions
- Customer-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation and networking abilities
