Job Overview

Brights Hardware is looking for an Operator to join their Despatch Department at the Blackheath Distribution Centre. The role involves loading stock efficiently and safely using a Forklift or Front-End Loader, ensuring accurate stock handling, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Loading Operations – Load customer vehicles, delivery trucks, and transfer trucks quickly and accurately using a Forklift or Front-End Loader.
✔ Stock Management – Ensure stock is stacked, counted, and recorded correctly.
✔ Customer Service – Assist customers with product knowledge and friendly service.
✔ Vehicle Maintenance – Ensure operational vehicles are well-maintained and report any issues.
✔ Housekeeping – Keep work areas clean, tidy, and safe.
✔ Stocktaking – Participate in perpetual stocktakes for inventory accuracy.
✔ Operational Procedures – Follow company policies and safety procedures.
✔ Teamwork & Reporting – Work as part of a team and maintain detailed records of operations.

Job Requirements

✅ Education & Experience:
✔ Matric (or equivalent) required.
✔ Candidates without Matric but with an Operator License & 1 year experience will be considered.
✔ Minimum 1 year experience as an Operator.
✔ Valid Operator Licence (Forklift or Front-End Loader).

✅ Skills & Competencies:
✔ Customer Service Excellence – Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service.
✔ Stock Control – Ability to numerically count stock accurately.
✔ Communication Skills – Speak clearly and effectively communicate with team members and customers.
