Job Overview

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is hiring a Cosmetic Consultant for their new store in Westown Square, Durban. The role involves promoting and selling beauty and cosmetic products, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing stock and merchandising.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Retail experience as a Sales Consultant
• Computer literacy
• Willingness to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• Experience in cosmetics, fragrance, or beauty

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer queries.
• Demonstrate cosmetic products through makeovers, demonstrations, and spray promotions.
• Manage stock levels and report on damaged, expired, or missing items.
• Ensure attractive merchandising and displays in line with store guidelines.
• Achieve sales targets by maximizing store revenue.
• Stay updated on new products, brands, and industry trends.
• Oversee promotions, beauty house activities, and salon appointments.
• Adhere to Dis-Chem policies, health & safety regulations, and SOPs.

Skills & Competencies

Essential:

• Strong English communication skills (verbal & written)
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills
• Ability to analyze stock reports and sales targets
• Ability to follow a task schedule

Advantageous:

• Experience in promotions, personal selling, and stock management
• Bilingual proficiency
• Training in sales and promotions
