Are you a tech-savvy, highly organized individual with a passion for digital retail? Brights Hardware is looking for an E-Commerce Order Fulfillment Clerk (Customer Experience Administrator) to join our high-volume Blackheath Distribution Centre. As the digital landscape of hardware retail expands, we need a “brand custodian” who can manage the complexities of Omni-Channel fulfillment while ensuring that our online customers receive the same legendary service found in our physical stores.

Purpose of the Role
The primary goal of this role is to ensure a flawless experience across all touchpoints of the digital customer journey. As an E-Commerce Order Fulfillment Clerk, you will support customers through their purchasing decisions, resolve technical or delivery problems, and handle specialized queries. To succeed, you must be a proactive communicator and an active listener who can identify customer needs and translate them into efficient digital orders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Order & Omni-Channel Management

Omni-Channel Support: Navigate and manage customer satisfaction through our integrated Omni-Channel systems and telephonic support.

eCommerce Liaison: Handle all eCommerce-related inquiries, ensuring that online orders are processed, tracked, and fulfilled with professional efficiency.

Resolution Management: Deal with customer complaints, compliments, and general enquiries timeously to maintain a high Net Promoter Score (NPS).
2. Technical Administration & CRM

System Accuracy: Update and maintain customer profiles and preferences using PUTTY and other internal CRM systems.

Performance Reporting: Record and collate information for monthly performance reports to track departmental efficiency and customer excellence targets.

Quoting & Retention: Assist with requesting quotes, processing digital sales, and managing customer retention efforts.
3. Strategic Collaboration

Cross-Functional Support: Liaise with the warehouse, logistics, and retail floor teams to resolve journey-related issues that require physical stock checks or delivery adjustments.

Innovation: Provide frequent feedback on creative ways to improve the retail customer experience and drive online revenue.

Brand Expertise: Strive to become an expert in both the Brights brand and our vast hardware product range.
Job Requirements
Education & Training
-
Minimum Requirement: Matric OR 3 completed Intercept courses (equating to 120 credits).

Internal Certification: Must complete the Brights Induction (Service Excellence).
Experience & Skills
-
Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role. Candidates with social media or Omni-Channel experience are highly preferred.

Computer Proficiency: Strong typing skills (minimum 35 wpm) and comfortable navigating multiple digital platforms simultaneously.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written English with a professional speaking voice and high-quality grammar.
