Position Overview

VKB Group is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead the Retail Branch at Woudzicht, Vrede. This permanent role is responsible for the overall profitable management of the branch, including financial oversight, personnel management, stock control, and customer service delivery.

Purpose of the Role

The Branch Manager ensures that the Retail Branch operates efficiently, profitably, and in compliance with VKB Group policies and relevant legislation. The role is focused on driving financial performance, developing and mentoring staff, maintaining customer satisfaction, and supporting strategic operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Financial and Stock Management

Manage the branch’s financial performance, budgets, and reporting
Oversee stock management within the VKB Group framework
Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency

Personnel and Leadership

Manage and mentor branch staff, providing guidance and support
Foster a high-performance culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence
Ensure the application of VKB policies across the branch

Customer Service and Relationship Management

Deliver excellent customer service, addressing queries and resolving complaints efficiently
Develop and maintain long-term business relationships with clients and stakeholders
Apply creativity and strategic thinking to exceed branch goals and targets

Compliance and Business Operations

Ensure the branch complies with all relevant legislation and VKB operational standards
Continuously add value to the business by achieving strategic and operational objectives
Manage day-to-day operations, including operational planning, reporting, and workflow management

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

Grade 12 / NQF 4

Experience

5–7 years’ experience managing a retail branch
Proven track record in agri-business management
Experience leading medium to large teams

Technical Skills

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office
Strong business acumen and understanding of retail and agricultural operations
