Position Overview

The Lesaka Technologies Internship Programme 2026 is a 12-month paid graduate internship designed for ambitious young South Africans looking to launch a successful career in the fintech and financial services sector.

This structured internship offers real-world work experience, professional mentorship, and practical skills development within a fast-paced corporate environment. Interns will gain exposure to key business functions while contributing to impactful projects that support financial inclusion and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

As a graduate intern, your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting daily operational activities within assigned departments
  • Assisting with administrative, customer service, research, or technical tasks
  • Participating in internal training programmes and professional development workshops
  • Contributing innovative ideas to improve processes and service delivery
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams on projects
  • Gaining exposure to core fintech business operations
  • Attending feedback, coaching, and mentorship sessions

Fields of Study

Graduates with qualifications in the following fields are encouraged to apply:

  • BCom Industrial Psychology or related Human Capital qualification
  • BSc in Information Technology
  • BA in Digital Marketing and Communication
  • BCom in Operations Management or Business Administration
  • BCom in Accounting

Minimum Requirements

  • Be South African citizens between the ages of 18 and 29
  • Hold a minimum of a National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree
  • Be currently unemployed and not studying full-time
