Position Overview

The Branch Assistant / Takassistent position is a customer-facing role within a trading branch environment, responsible for delivering high-quality customer service, sales support, marketing assistance, and administrative functions.

This role is ideal for a motivated individual with experience in retail, trade environments, or agricultural operations, who enjoys working with customers, handling stock, and supporting branch operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service to walk-in clients
  • Support marketing and sales activities within the branch
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
  • Control and manage branch stock levels
  • Perform shelf management and merchandising
  • Execute daily administrative duties
  • Maintain organised and efficient branch operations
  • Assist with general trade branch activities as required

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in a trading or retail branch environment
  • Experience in customer service and marketing (advantageous)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong communication skills in Afrikaans and English (read, write, speak)
  • Computer literate (MS Office)
  • Sound numerical and cash-handling skills
  • Good organisational and time-management abilities
  • Strong sales and customer engagement skills
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and service-driven
