Position Overview

OVK is seeking a Branch Assistant / Takassistent to join its Rouxville trading branch on a permanent basis. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, supporting sales and marketing activities, and ensuring the smooth daily operation of the branch. The position is ideal for candidates with experience in a retail or trade environment who are passionate about agriculture and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional and friendly customer service to all clients
  • Support branch marketing and sales initiatives
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
  • Control and manage stock levels
  • Maintain shelves and ensure correct product displays
  • Perform general administrative duties
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in a trade or retail branch environment
  • Experience in customer service and marketing will be an advantage
  • Willingness to work in an agricultural retail environment

  • Strong communication skills in Afrikaans and English
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Good numerical ability
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Sales-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
