Position Overview

OVK is currently recruiting a Branch Assistant / Takassistent for its Bethulie branch. This permanent position is responsible for delivering high-quality customer service, supporting branch sales and marketing activities, and ensuring efficient daily operations within a busy agricultural trade environment.

This role is ideal for candidates with retail or trade experience who are detail-oriented, customer-focused, and eager to build a long-term career in the agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service and sales support
  • Assist with marketing and promotional activities within the branch
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
  • Control, monitor, and manage stock levels
  • Maintain shelves and ensure neat product displays
  • Perform general administrative and record-keeping duties
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in a trade or retail environment
  • Experience in customer service and marketing will be advantageous
  • Willingness to work in an agricultural retail setting

Core Competencies and Skills

  • Strong communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Good numerical ability
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Sales and customer-service orientation
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
