Position Overview

HomeChoice is currently recruiting a 24hr Flexi Sales Associate for its Komani Showroom in Queenstown, Eastern Cape.

This role is ideal for an energetic and customer-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced retail sales environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in converting showroom visitors into loyal customers by delivering engaging product demonstrations, identifying customer needs, and offering tailored solutions.

You will also support store operations, customer account management, and order processing, ensuring a smooth end-to-end shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

As a Flexi Sales Associate, your responsibilities will include:

Sales and Customer Engagement

  • Convert showroom visitors into customers through compelling product demonstrations and sales techniques
  • Identify customer needs and recommend the most suitable homeware products and solutions
  • Communicate pricing, promotions, and product benefits clearly
  • Achieve and exceed monthly retail sales targets

Customer Journey Management

  • Assist customers throughout the entire sales journey, from account opening to order completion
  • Capture customer orders accurately in the system
  • Provide professional assistance with payments, refunds, and credits

Marketing and Sales Activation

  • Lead local sales activations and promotions to attract new customers
  • Drive foot traffic to the showroom through community engagement and promotions
  • Promote brand awareness and product offerings

Store Operations

  • Maintain an organized and welcoming showroom environment
  • Ensure merchandise displays remain attractive and properly arranged
  • Perform regular housekeeping tasks to keep the store clean and professional

Administration and Reporting

  • Complete all required sales administration and reporting tasks
  • Ensure accurate documentation of sales records and performance metrics
  • Provide WFS feedback to identify opportunities to improve store processes

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this retail sales job in South Africa, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate (essential)
  • Minimum 1 year retail sales experience
  • Clear criminal and ITC record
  • Must not be debarred or declared not fit and proper under the FAIS Act
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Experience in the homeware retail industry will be advantageous
