You must have:
β TVET N4βN6 Occupational Health & Safety qualification
β OR Occupational Certificate: Safety, Health & Quality Practitioner (NQF5)
β Be unemployed
β Need WIL / in-service training to finish your diploma
β Never done an internship/learnership before
β Basic Microsoft Office skills
β Afrikaans is helpful but not required
π§° What Youβll Actually Do
Youβll assist the SHE Officer (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality).
Main tasks include:
π Admin & Documentation
- Take meeting minutes
- Prepare safety reports
- Process accident and incident forms
- Update registers and spreadsheets
π Safety Compliance
- Help with risk assessments
- Monitor workplace safety compliance
- Identify hazards and unsafe conditions
π Safety Systems Management
- Manage safety databases and records
- Assist with audits and inspections
π· Training & Awareness
- Help with safety training
- Issue training certificates
- Prepare toolbox talks
π¨ Incident Management
- Help investigate accidents
- Assist in emergency plans (fire, disasters, etc.)
