🎓 Minimum Requirements
You must have:
✔ TVET N4–N6 Occupational Health & Safety qualification
✔ OR Occupational Certificate: Safety, Health & Quality Practitioner (NQF5)
✔ Be unemployed
✔ Need WIL / in-service training to finish your diploma
✔ Never done an internship/learnership before
✔ Basic Microsoft Office skills
✔ Afrikaans is helpful but not required
🧰 What You’ll Actually Do
You’ll assist the SHE Officer (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality).
Main tasks include:
📝 Admin & Documentation
- Take meeting minutes
- Prepare safety reports
- Process accident and incident forms
- Update registers and spreadsheets
📊 Safety Compliance
- Help with risk assessments
- Monitor workplace safety compliance
- Identify hazards and unsafe conditions
📂 Safety Systems Management
- Manage safety databases and records
- Assist with audits and inspections
👷 Training & Awareness
- Help with safety training
- Issue training certificates
- Prepare toolbox talks
🚨 Incident Management
- Help investigate accidents
- Assist in emergency plans (fire, disasters, etc.)
