Position Overview
Motus Vehicle Distributors is currently recruiting a General Manager: Fleet based in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
The purpose of this role is to lead and grow the organization’s national fleet sales function through strategic planning, strong customer relationship management, and tactical leadership.
The successful candidate will oversee the full fleet sales pipeline, develop key corporate partnerships, drive revenue growth, and ensure operational excellence while maintaining legal and corporate compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Fleet Sales Strategy & Leadership
- Lead and grow the national fleet sales function.
- Develop strategic sales plans to achieve fleet volume and revenue targets.
- Manage the entire fleet sales pipeline, ensuring effective lead conversion.
Sales Performance & Business Growth
- Analyse sales data and produce detailed reports on market trends, discrepancies, and performance indicators.
- Implement strategies to improve sales productivity and revenue growth.
- Support dealerships in engaging corporate fleet clients and maximizing sales opportunities.
Financial Management
- Contribute to the development and management of budgets.
- Manage costs and company assets effectively.
- Develop fleet volume forecasts based on corporate demand and market trends.
- Implement cost improvement strategies to optimize financial performance.
Customer & Partner Relationships
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with corporate fleet clients.
- Work closely with leasing companies and financial institutions to negotiate favourable financing structures.
- Build strong partnerships with dealership networks to support fleet sales growth.
- Ensure service delivery exceeds customer expectations.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements including:
- FICA regulations
- POPI Act
- Consumer Protection Act (CPA)
- Implement governance policies to manage operational risks.
Customer Experience & Service Excellence
- Address and resolve customer complaints efficiently.
- Develop and implement customer service delivery excellence plans.
- Promote strong brand awareness and product knowledge among fleet clients.
People Management & Leadership
- Create a productive and engaging workplace environment.
- Lead workforce planning, recruitment, and employee development.
- Implement performance management, training, and reward strategies.
- Drive change management initiatives and promote company values.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates applying for the General Manager: Fleet position at Motus Vehicle Distributors should meet the following criteria:
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in fleet sales, automotive sales, or a related industry
- At least 2–3 years of managerial or leadership experience
Education & Knowledge
- Broad understanding of the automotive, transport, or logistics industry

Other Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
