Position Overview

TWK Agri is currently recruiting a General Worker to join the Timber Division Nursery team in Piet Retief, Mpumalanga.

This role focuses on general maintenance, garden upkeep, infrastructure repairs, and assisting with operational activities within the nursery. The position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on outdoor work and practical maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cutting grass and maintaining lawn and garden areas across the nursery property.
  • Cleaning and tidying gardens, pathways, and surrounding workspaces.
  • Safely spraying herbicides, pesticides, and other agricultural chemicals.
  • Repairing and maintaining pipes, irrigation systems, tables, nets, and other infrastructure.
  • Operating and driving a tractor and other basic maintenance equipment.
  • Loading and offloading trucks and assisting with material handling tasks.
  • Performing general maintenance and upkeep duties as required.
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are cleaned, stored, and used responsibly.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
  • Basic knowledge of irrigation systems, repairs, and garden equipment.
  • Ability to handle and apply agricultural chemicals safely.
  • Physically fit and capable of manual labour.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving and practical repair skills.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Valid Driver’s License (Code 10).
