Position Overview
Multiform Human Development is currently seeking a dynamic On-Site Medical Scheme Consultant to join their team in Pretoria, Gauteng. This role involves providing frontline client support, assisting with medical scheme queries, and supporting administrative operations related to healthcare benefits.
The successful candidate will assist clients with medical scheme applications, benefit inquiries, claims queries, and membership updates, ensuring that customers receive accurate information and professional support.
This position offers valuable exposure to medical scheme administration, healthcare consulting services, and financial services operations.
Key Responsibilities
The On-Site Medical Scheme Consultant will support clients and internal teams through the following responsibilities:
Client Support and Consultation
- Interact professionally with internal and external clients regarding medical scheme applications and amendments
- Provide frontline assistance to walk-in clients with healthcare scheme queries
- Respond to customer inquiries related to medical scheme products, benefits, and option changes
- Assist members with claims inquiries and benefit-related questions
Administrative and Data Management
- Capture and update client data on internal systems such as atWork database
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and account updates
- Assist with administrative tasks related to healthcare consulting services
Operational Support
- Arrange logistical requirements and assist with coordination of site visits
- Support client meetings and attend Healthcare Committee meetings when required
- Take meeting minutes, prepare agendas, and distribute documentation
Document and Information Management
- Perform photocopying, scanning, and document management tasks
- Send and receive documentation through appropriate communication channels
- Conduct internet research to obtain relevant information when required
Billing and Administrative Support
- Assist with billing processes and billing information management
- Provide backend administrative support to the consulting team
- Assist with the planning and coordination of wellness days and corporate healthcare events
Training and Planning Support
- Assist with organizing year-end revision sessions and client training programs
- Provide administrative support for staff training initiatives
Minimum Requirements
Candidates interested in this position should meet the following requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 Certificate (Mandatory)
- NQF Level 5 Qualification relevant to the Medical Scheme or Healthcare Industry (Preferred)
- RE5 Qualification (Preferred)
- Experience in customer service, healthcare administration, or financial services will be advantageous
