Position Overview
We are seeking a Fragrance Advisor – Chanel to join our Menlyn team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate is passionate about luxury fragrances, client service, and sales excellence. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences, maintaining brand standards, and driving sales growth within a luxury retail environment.
The Fragrance Advisor will report to the Retail Development Manager and play a key role in strengthening the Chanel brand in-store.
Key Responsibilities
Maximise Turnover, Profit & Productivity
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
- Assist in setting up and driving sales at events, launches, and retailer activities
- Provide timely feedback on sales and customer insights
Brand Management
- Monitor competitor activity and stay up to date with current industry trends
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards according to retailer and brand requirements
- Adhere to and uphold Chanel brand standards at all times
Stock Management, Merchandising & Store Operations
- Merchandise stock according to company merchandising guidelines
- Report out-of-stock items to the line manager daily
- Administer stock control, stock loss prevention, and asset management
- Implement and adhere to operational procedures and point-of-sale processes
Customer Experience
- Provide exceptional and personalised client experiences
- Recommend fragrances and share expert knowledge on products
- Build customer loyalty and drive database growth by attracting new clients
Teamwork & Collaboration
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure operational excellence
- Support onboarding and orientation of new team members
- Uphold company values and integrity in all interactions
Administration
- Complete daily tracking sheets and reports
- Implement CRM processes
- Provide retail updates and reporting as required

Requirements / Qualifications
- Matric Certificate
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in cosmetics or fragrance retail
- Demonstrable retail knowledge and awareness of current industry trends
- Strong team player, active learner, and problem-solver
- Willingness to work weekends and shifts as required
- Own reliable transport
