Position Overview
We are looking for a Fragrance Advisor – Chanel to join our team at Mall of Africa, Midrand. This role is designed for a driven, client-focused, and sales-oriented individual who thrives in a high-end retail environment.
The Fragrance Advisor will report directly to the Retail Development Manager and will be responsible for maximising sales, maintaining brand standards, and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Maximise Turnover, Profit & Productivity
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
- Assist in setting up and driving sales at events, launches, and retailer activities
- Provide timely feedback on sales and customer issues
Brand Management
- Monitor competitor activity and stay updated on industry trends
- Maintain hygiene, safety, and operational standards according to retailer requirements
- Uphold Chanel brand standards at all times
Stock Management, Merchandising & Store Operations
- Merchandise stock according to company merchandising guidelines
- Report out-of-stock items daily to line manager
- Oversee stock administration, stock loss prevention, and asset management
- Implement operational procedures and maintain point-of-sale compliance
Customer Experience
- Deliver a premium, personalised client experience
- Recommend fragrances and share expert knowledge on products
- Build client relationships, loyalty, and drive customer database growth
- Educate clients on fragrance tips, trends, and product usage
Teamwork & Collaboration
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure operational excellence
- Support onboarding and mentoring of new team members
- Uphold company values and act with integrity
Administration
- Complete daily tracking sheets and retail reports
- Implement CRM processes as required
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and timely reporting

Requirements / Qualifications
- Matric certificate
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in cosmetics or fragrance retail
- Demonstrable knowledge of retail operations and current industry trends
- Team player, active learner, and problem-solver
- Willingness to work weekends and shifts as required
- Own reliable transport
