Position Overview

We are seeking driven, ambitious, and client-focused Fragrance Advisors to join our teams at Menlyn, Mall of Africa, and Sandton.

As a Fragrance Advisor, you will:

  • Deliver exceptional client experiences to maximise sales and profitability
  • Ensure operating standards and brand excellence are consistently maintained
  • Build and enhance the Chanel brand image across all retail touchpoints

This role reports to the Retail Development Manager and requires a professional, sales-driven mindset with a flair for luxury customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Maximise Turnover, Profit & Productivity

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
  • Assist in executing sales at events, launches, and retailer activities
  • Provide timely feedback on sales and customer issues

Brand Management

  • Monitor competitor activity and stay updated on industry trends
  • Maintain hygiene, safety, and operational standards
  • Uphold and maintain Chanel brand standards at all times

Stock Management, Merchandising & Store Operations

  • Merchandise stock according to Chanel merchandising guidelines
  • Report out-of-stock items daily to line manager
  • Manage stock administration, stock loss prevention, and asset control
  • Implement operational procedures and maintain point-of-sale compliance

Customer Experience

  • Deliver a premium, personalised client experience
  • Provide expert fragrance recommendations and advice
  • Build client relationships, loyalty, and drive new customer acquisition
  • Share knowledge on fragrance trends and product usage

Teamwork & Collaboration

  • Work harmoniously with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Support onboarding and mentorship of new team members
  • Ensure consistent delivery of company values and operational standards

Administration

  • Complete daily tracking sheets and retail reports
  • Implement CRM processes as required
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Matric certificate
  • At least 2 years’ experience in cosmetics/fragrance retail
  • Strong understanding of retail operations and industry trends
  • Team player, active learner, and problem-solver
  • Willingness to work weekends and shifts as required
  • Own reliable transport
