To support this growth, Lesaka is looking for an experienced Sales Account Executive to manage and expand corporate merchant accounts across Rustenburg and Potchefstroom.
Position Overview
The Sales Account Executive – Rustenburg/Potchefstroom role is designed for high-performing professionals with strong experience in B2B sales, fintech, merchant acquiring, or payments solutions.
This position requires a driven individual capable of identifying new business opportunities, closing complex deals, and building strategic partnerships with corporate merchants. The successful candidate will manage a revenue-generating portfolio and work closely with senior decision-makers to deliver tailored payment solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Merchant Acquisition & Portfolio Growth
- Acquire and grow corporate merchant accounts across the North West territory
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the merchant payments sector
- Build and manage a high-value revenue portfolio
- Drive consistent revenue growth through strategic client engagement
Sales Strategy & Deal Negotiation
- Structure, negotiate, and close complex merchant payment solutions
- Develop customized fintech solutions based on merchant needs
- Manage the entire sales pipeline from prospecting to deal closure
- Deliver accurate forecasts and sales reports
Executive Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with C-suite executives and senior stakeholders
- Strengthen long-term partnerships with key merchants
- Retain and expand existing accounts through proactive engagement
- Provide strategic advice on payment technology and digital commerce
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product, operations, and risk teams to deliver tailored merchant solutions
- Ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery for new accounts
- Provide market insights to support product innovation and service improvement
Minimum Requirements
Candidates applying for this role should meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, fintech, merchant acquiring, or payments solutions
- Proven ability to close and grow high-value corporate accounts
- Strong negotiation and commercial decision-making skills
- Experience working with executive-level clients and senior stakeholders
- Ability to work independently within a territory-based sales environment
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transport
- Strong self-motivation and resilience in a high-performance sales environment
