To support operational efficiency within the Merchant Division, Lesaka is seeking a Base Administrator to join the team in Cape Town.
Position Overview
The Base Administrator is responsible for providing essential administrative and operational support within the Merchant Division. The role focuses on maintaining accurate records, producing business reports, managing device-related administration, and supporting sales operations.
Working closely with the Regional Admin Supervisor, Sales Managers, and Sales Executives, the Base Administrator ensures that daily operational processes run smoothly and that critical sales and device performance data is tracked and communicated effectively.
This role is ideal for professionals with strong administrative experience, data management skills, and advanced Excel capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Reports & Dashboards
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly reports on business unit performance
- Create and distribute dashboards to relevant Agents and Sales Managers
- Analyse reports to identify operational issues or trends
Kazang Device Retention Monitoring
- Identify Kazang devices that have stopped trading using performance reports
- Escalate inactive devices to the relevant Sales Executive or Agent
- Ensure issues are resolved by coordinating with the appropriate department heads
General Sales Administration
- Complete administrative tasks supporting the sales team
- Assist with documentation, reporting, and internal communications
- Provide administrative support to the Regional Manager
Base Administration Duties
- Manage device orders and track device allocations
- Conduct regular stock takes and inventory tracking
- Perform ad-hoc administrative tasks as required
- Support weekend operational requirements when necessary
Minimum Requirements
Candidates applying for this position should meet the following criteria:
- Matric / Grade 12 certificate
- 3 – 5 years of administrative experience
- Experience working with business or operational data
- Knowledge of CRM systems such as CR or Freshdesk
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Experience preparing reports and dashboards
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (preferred)
- Familiarity with CRM and ticketing systems
- Strong data analysis and reporting ability
