Position Overview

The Intermediate Phase English and Social Science Educator will guide intersen-phase students in developing a strong foundation in literacy and social studies while nurturing their analytical and independent learning skills. This role is ideal for passionate educators who are student-focused, innovative, and committed to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality instruction in English and Social Science in alignment with curricula
  • Assess, monitor, and report student performance accurately and on time
  • Manage student behavior and cultivate a positive learning environment
  • Act as a school brand ambassador for Pinnacle College
  • Contribute to administrative duties and school operations
  • Ensure health and safety compliance within the classroom
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community

Qualifications & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree (NQF Level 6) and PGCE or B.Ed. (Intermediate, Intersen, or Senior Phase)
  • SACE registration and police clearance required
  • 3–5 years of relevant teaching experience
  • Computer and digital literacy
  • First Aid certification is an advantage
