Position Overview

The Business Development Executive – Rustenburg will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strong client relationships, and implementing strategic sales initiatives to increase market share.

This role plays a key part in achieving regional revenue growth and expanding the company’s client base by managing tender processes, developing sales proposals, and executing targeted marketing initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development

  • Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned region
  • Conduct cold calling and follow up on leads generated through various channels
  • Manage the preparation of high-quality proposals, bids, and tender submissions
  • Follow up on cancelled contracts and identify opportunities for service recovery
  • Work closely with Regional General Managers and Operations Managers to drive sales performance
  • Implement sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets

Strategic Growth Initiatives

  • Contribute to refining and improving the company’s sales and marketing strategies
  • Identify weaknesses in the sales process and implement corrective actions
  • Drive initiatives aimed at increasing the company’s market share and growth
  • Collaborate with strategic suppliers who contribute to tender and proposal submissions

Marketing and Brand Promotion

  • Identify new market opportunities and target customer segments
  • Use the full marketing mix to support sales and brand awareness campaigns
  • Promote services offered by related companies such as Steiner Hygiene and TopTurf
  • Support regional marketing activities that strengthen the company’s market presence

Reporting and Performance Monitoring

  • Provide weekly and monthly sales and marketing performance reports
  • Track progress against sales budgets and revenue targets
  • Provide insights to management regarding client needs, market trends, and competitor activity

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Sales, Business Development, or Marketing
  • Matric (Senior Certificate)

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in business development or sales
  • Strong understanding of sales strategies and marketing best practices
  • Experience within the services or facilities management industry is advantageous
