Position Overview

The People & Culture Admin Intern will provide administrative and operational support across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, HR record management, payroll support, and compliance. This internship is ideal for graduates eager to gain practical HR experience and develop core competencies in employee relations and HR administration.


Key Responsibilities

Employee Lifecycle Administration

  • Support onboarding and exit processes
  • Maintain and update employee records accurately
  • Assist with contract administration and HR documentation

HR Systems & Data Management

  • Capture and validate employee data on HR systems
  • Support payroll input preparation and reconciliation
  • Ensure compliance with POPIA and other HR regulations

Reporting & Compliance

  • Compile monthly People dashboards and reports
  • Assist with Employment Equity, skills development, and HR audits
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned

Stakeholder Support

  • Provide first-line support for employee queries
  • Escalate issues where appropriate
  • Collaborate effectively with People & Culture team members

Minimum Requirements

  • Honours Degree (NQF Level 8) in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field
  • Strong interest in HR operations and People & Culture careers
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
