Position Overview
The Cashier – Durban North role is ideal for energetic individuals who thrive in fast-paced restaurant environments.
You will be responsible for processing customer transactions on POS systems, ensuring accuracy, speed, and excellent service, while supporting sales and promotions at the store.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service by processing orders accurately according to SOP
- Maintain speed of service and efficient transaction processing
- Process all payment types accurately and responsibly
- Educate customers about current promotions and encourage upselling
- Increase ticket averages through suggestive selling techniques
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of counter service areas according to SOP
- Monitor and maintain front-of-house stock as required
Minimum Requirements
- National Senior Certificate preferred (Senior Certificate required)
- Well-developed literacy and numeracy skills
- Minimum 1-year experience as a retail or restaurant cashier, preferably in a QSR environment
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, customer-facing environments
