Position Overview: Finance Manager
CBRE Excellerate is currently recruiting a Finance Manager in Johannesburg to oversee financial operations, planning, and reporting across client accounts.

You will play a key role in managing billing, financial analysis, budgeting, compliance, and stakeholder reporting while ensuring financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Client Billing & Invoicing
- Ensure billing aligns with contract terms and Service Level Agreements (SLA)
- Send monthly statements to debtors
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices
Debtors Management
- Track unpaid invoices and provide weekly updates
- Allocate payments in SAP ERP system
- Process withholding tax certificates
- Reconcile and clear debtor accounts
Purchase Order Management
- Review open purchase order reports regularly
- Identify and resolve long outstanding POs
- Ensure sufficient funds availability for suppliers
Expense & Income Accruals
- Identify unrecorded supplier expenses and raise accruals
- Collect supporting documentation for accrual entries
- Prevent revenue leakage through financial comparisons
Payroll & Financial Controls
- Manage bonus provisions and salary validations
- Ensure accurate payroll recoveries
- Collaborate with business unit leadership
Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly
- Resolve reconciling items promptly
- Maintain complete supporting documentation
Income Statement Management
- Prepare monthly financial reports and variance analysis
- Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
- Conduct detailed variance analysis on P&L accounts
- Present financial insights to business unit leaders
External Audit & Compliance
- Provide audit documentation and respond to queries
- Prepare audit files and ensure compliance with regulations
Month-End Close
- Ensure timely and accurate closing of accounts
- Complete month-end checklists and reporting
- Review and sign off P&L statements before finalization
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Finance
- Accounting
- Or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- At least 5 years of hands-on operational finance experience
- Experience in:
- Facilities Management
- Manufacturing
- Project or contract-based environments
Preferred Qualifications
- CIMA qualification (advantageous)
- Strong experience with SAP ERP systems
- Advanced knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
