Position Overview: SHE Officer (Safety, Health & Environment)
CBRE Excellerate is seeking a qualified SHE Officer in Lagos to ensure that facilities operate in a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible manner.

Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety Compliance
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures aligned with regulations
- Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and environmental guidelines
- Monitor safe handling and storage of hazardous chemicals
Inspections & Audits
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of facilities and equipment
- Identify risks and implement corrective actions
Training & Awareness
- Provide safety training for employees and contractors
- Educate staff on emergency procedures and hazard prevention
Emergency Preparedness
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans
- Conduct drills to ensure readiness for incidents
Incident Management
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses
- Identify root causes and implement preventive measures
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of:
- Safety inspections
- Training sessions
- Incident reports
- Track and report safety performance metrics
Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams
- Implement risk mitigation and safety improvement strategies
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Occupational Health & Safety
- Environmental Science
- Engineering or related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a safety or SHE role
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as:
- NEBOSH
- IOSH
