Position Overview
The Silo Worker will assist with daily silo operations at VKB Grain in Mookgophong, Limpopo. This role focuses on material handling, cleaning, basic maintenance, safety compliance, and ensuring the smooth flow of grain and materials. The ideal candidate is physically fit, safety-conscious, and a strong team player.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain general tidiness and perform cleaning duties
- Assist with loading and offloading of stock according to policies
- Support customers and suppliers during deliveries
- Perform general housekeeping of silo premises
- Assist with stock control and basic material handling
- Execute ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisors
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or NQF4 qualification
- Physically fit and able to perform hard manual labour
- Previous experience in industrial, agricultural, or construction environments is advantageous
- Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces (with training)
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Strong awareness of safety rules and procedures
