Position Overview
The Branch Manager: Mechanisation is responsible for managing all operational, sales, and HR aspects of the Standerton Mechanisation branch. The role ensures optimal performance in line with company standards, driving profitability, stock management, staff development, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Full accountability for all branch operations and overall performance
- Assess and monitor key operational performance indicators
- Manage general administration, POS processes, and HR/IR functions
- Oversee stock control, shrinkage management, and regular stock takes
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance
- Operational planning, ensuring sales and expenses align with budgets
- Maintain knowledge of spare parts, workshop procedures, and operational policies
- Train, mentor, and develop branch employees for optimal performance
- Ensure store profit targets are met while maintaining high operational standards
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- Computer literate
- Relevant degree or diploma (advantageous)
- At least 5 years’ experience in the agricultural sector, specifically in mechanisation management
- Strong knowledge of management principles and operational planning
- Leadership, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Assertive, analytical thinker with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
