Position Overview
The Financial Manager – VKB Financial Services role is a senior leadership opportunity ideal for professionals seeking finance manager jobs in South Africa, agricultural finance careers, or senior accounting roles in FMCG and commodity sectors.
You will be responsible for leading financial strategy, reporting, budgeting, compliance, and business performance analysis across the Finance and Insurance divisions.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement financial strategy for Finance and Insurance divisions
- Provide financial insights to support business growth and decision-making
- Lead financial planning and performance analysis
Budgeting & Reporting
- Prepare and manage budgets across departments
- Analyse profitability trends and commission structures
- Present financial reports to senior management and the board
Financial Operations & Compliance
- Oversee accounting, finance, and administrative teams
- Ensure compliance with FSCA, FIC, and regulatory requirements
- Manage internal and external audits
Controls & Risk Management
- Monitor internal financial controls and systems
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Identify and manage financial risks
Business Growth Support
- Support due diligence and acquisition processes
- Assist with integration planning across subsidiaries
- Provide financial analysis for strategic initiatives
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Professional qualification: SAICA / SAIPA / CIMA / MBA or equivalent (required or advantageous)
Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Financial Manager role
- Experience in commodities, FMCG, manufacturing, or distribution (advantageous)
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central
