Position Overview

RCL Foods is currently hiring a Receipting Clerk (FTC) to join its Procurement Team at the National Office in Westville, Durban. This contract role forms part of the Transactional Procurement function and is responsible for the accurate and timely receipting of non-stock items and services.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in SAP, procurement processes, and financial administration, looking to gain valuable exposure in a large FMCG environment.


Key Responsibilities

Daily Operational Execution

  • Perform receipting of non-stock items and services accurately and on time
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain high housekeeping and organisational standards

Non-Stock Items Processing

  • Verify Purchase Orders (POs) before receipting goods
  • Inspect deliveries for:
    • Correct items
    • Accurate quantities
    • Acceptable quality
  • Return goods to suppliers if no valid PO exists
  • Capture and process approved delivery documentation

Services Receipting

  • Verify service completion with signed invoices and job cards
  • Capture service receipts on the ERP system
  • Create service entry sheets for processed services
  • Submit invoices to the creditors department for payment

ERP & SAP Processing

  • Capture goods receipts against Purchase Orders in the ERP system
  • Record delivery note numbers and maintain proper documentation
  • Ensure all supplier documents are accurately filed

Teamwork & Self-Management

  • Take ownership of tasks and meet deadlines
  • Communicate risks and delays proactively
  • Collaborate effectively with procurement and finance teams
  • Maintain high productivity and quality standards

KPI Management

  • Ensure compliance with receipting procedures and authority levels
  • Maintain high accuracy in data capturing and documentation
  • Receipt all invoices and delivery notes within 24 hours
  • Resolve finance and procurement queries within 48 hours
  • Ensure no overdue purchase orders remain on the system

Administrative Duties

  • Perform general administrative tasks within procurement
  • Manage 3G data card applications and allocations
  • Maintain records and assist employees with queries
  • Liaise with service providers for approvals and support

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
  • Experience working with SAP or ERP systems
