Main Purpose of the Job

The Technical Support Consultant helps customers with Apple products by providing technical support, troubleshooting problems, answering questions, and ensuring customers have a great experience. You become the store’s technology expert and help customers understand and use their devices effectively.


Main Responsibilities

1. Technical Support

  • Assist customers with Apple products such as:
    • iPhones
    • iPads
    • MacBooks
    • Apple Watches
    • Accessories
  • Diagnose hardware and software issues.
  • Troubleshoot problems and recommend solutions.
  • Assist with repairs and service bookings.

2. Customer Service

  • Provide friendly and professional customer support.
  • Listen to customer concerns and explain solutions clearly.
  • Ensure customers leave satisfied and confident.

3. Product Education

  • Teach customers how to use Apple devices and services.
  • Explain software updates and new features.
  • Advise customers on device care and maintenance.

4. Service and Administration

  • Record customer issues and support activities accurately.
  • Process service requests and repair bookings.
  • Follow up on customer support cases when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

5. Teamwork and Communication

  • Work with store staff and service providers.
  • Communicate technical information clearly.
  • Assist colleagues when required.

6. Continuous Learning

  • Stay updated on Apple products and software.
  • Attend training sessions.
  • Learn about new technologies and support procedures.

Requirements

Education

  • Completed NSSCO (Namibian Senior Secondary Certificate Ordinary).
  • IT qualification or certification is an advantage.

Experience

  • 1–2 years of experience in:
    • Technical support
    • Customer service
    • IT support
    • Electronics support

Knowledge

  • Apple products and services.
  • Basic troubleshooting techniques.
  • Customer service principles.
  • Computer and mobile device technology.

Skills

  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills.

  • Record keeping and administration.
