Job Overview

Pedros is looking for a Warehouse Clerk to support inventory management, stock control, and operational efficiency at the Polokwane Distribution Centre. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, FIFO systems, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

• Warehouse Operations:
  • Train the team on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure warehouse bays are properly labeled and organized.
  • Implement a dedicated bay for discontinued, discarded, or damaged stock.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized warehouse following a strict checklist.
• Inventory Management & Stock Control:
  • Perform weekly stock takes and investigate stock variances.
  • Ensure First In, First Out (FIFO) principles are followed.
  • Work with procurement teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Monitor temperature-sensitive products from receiving to transportation.
  • Ensure only available stock appears on the purchase portal for stores.
• Compliance & Reporting:
  • Prepare and send the Warehouse Daily Report.
  • Strictly maintain access control and security measures.
  • Ensure PARS (Periodic Automatic Replenishment System) levels are maintained.
  • Investigate and resolve delivery overs, shorts, and damages.
  • Ensure warehouse staff wear proper PPE and follow safety guidelines.
• Administrative & Customer Service Support:
  • Assist with ad hoc duties related to warehouse management.
  • Ensure proper record-keeping and order fulfillment processes.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to maintain high product quality.

Requirements

✅ Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Warehousing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
✅ Prior experience in warehousing and inventory management.
✅ Minimum 2 years of experience using inventory and FIFO systems.
✅ Proficiency in Sage and MS Office Suite.
