Job Purpose
We are seeking 10 Shop Assistants / Cashiers to join our team at Kuruman Square. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service at the point of sale, managing stock, and ensuring a positive store experience for every customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Point of Sale Operations: Efficiently handle all transactions at the point of sale, ensuring accuracy when scanning items, processing payments, and managing clubcard rewards.
- Clubcard Promotion: Actively promote the Clicks clubcard and enroll new members to achieve participation targets.
- Customer Service: Deliver superior customer service, acting as a brand ambassador and offering a friendly and professional experience.
- Sales Promotion: Inform customers about in-store promotions and ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Merchandising & Housekeeping: Maintain store appearance and ensure visual merchandising standards are met.
- Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest products, promotions, and events to provide accurate information to customers.
Minimum Requirements
- Education:
- Essential: Grade 12
- Desirable: Maths 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level
- Experience:
- Desirable: Experience in a customer-facing role in retail or FMCG
- Skills:
- Basic maths and numeracy skills
- Strong customer orientation and communication skills
- Computer literacy and problem-solving abilities
