We are seeking a Cleaning Manager in the healthcare industry, based in Cape Town, to manage the daily operations of a site, ensuring high-quality standards in line with site-specific SLAs. This role will involve managing client relations, performing cleaning and equipment inspections, and leading a team to deliver top-tier service.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility and management of the site.
- Allocate resources effectively to achieve maximum cleaning output.
- Ensure service standards are maintained with regular inspections.
- Manage client relationships and contract retention through excellent service.
- Ensure all staff are dressed correctly and uphold the company image.
- Ensure compliance with cleaning methodologies, company policies, and legislation.
- Conduct regular equipment checks and ensure assets are in good condition.
- Schedule and conduct regular staff training to enhance performance.
- Communicate effectively with clients and staff.
- Manage labor, time sheets, and HR matters with adherence to company policies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Handle unit finances, ensuring cost control, debt collection, and budgeting.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
- Leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
- Ability to work independently under pressure, including long hours and weekends.
Qualifications
- Relevant operations and people management experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar environment, preferably in the healthcare sector.
- Strong understanding of cleaning principles and scheduling tasks to meet SLA standards.
- Experience in managing large teams and knowledge of industrial relations.
