Key Responsibilities
✔ Assist Customers Professionally – Provide expert advice on paint products and applications
✔ Drive Sales & Customer Satisfaction – Ensure a positive shopping experience and boost store sales
✔ Stock Control & Ordering – Monitor inventory, conduct stock counts, and place orders when needed
✔ Product Knowledge – Recommend the best paint products based on customer requirements
✔ Merchandising & Pricing – Ensure correct product display and accurate pricing
✔ Administrative Duties – Maintain customer records, process special orders, and manage invoices
✔ Housekeeping & Maintenance – Keep work areas clean and organized
✔ Stock Taking – Participate in perpetual stock takes for inventory accuracy
✔ Team Collaboration – Work closely with colleagues to achieve department sales goals
Minimum Requirements
✔ Matric Certificate (or equivalent)
✔ 3+ years of sales experience in a Paint or Hardware department
✔ 3+ years of experience in a similar role within a retail hardware environment
✔ 5 basic technical supplier competency certificates – Advantageous
✔ Customer Service Training – Preferred
✔ Strong sales techniques & intermediate product knowledge
✔ Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
✔ Ability to work independently and in a team
