Key Responsibilities of a Bakery General Assistant

In this role, you will be expected to perform a variety of tasks to maintain excellent customer service and operational standards:

  • Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist them in finding bakery and store items.

  • Product Knowledge: Share accurate information about products, explain their uses, and help customers make informed choices.

  • Waste Management: Dispose of waste from the store and storeroom responsibly, following proper waste disposal procedures.

  • Stock Takes: Participate in regular stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy.

  • Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all safety, security, and environmental policies, including emergency procedures.

  • Cleaning Duties: Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, including storerooms, kitchens, and customer areas.


Skills and Qualities We’re Looking For

To succeed as a Bakery General Assistant, you should have:
