About the Role

Lephalale TVET College is seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman to join the Ellisras Campus team. This role is ideal for individuals who are practical, proactive, and able to perform general maintenance tasks to support the smooth operation of college facilities.

As a Handyman, you will perform basic repairs, maintenance, and upkeep of buildings, infrastructure, furniture, and equipment, ensuring the campus remains safe, functional, and well-maintained for staff and students.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repair duties across the campus.
  • Carry out tasks related to plumbing, electrical wiring, carpentry, and basic building repairs.
  • Maintain office furniture, equipment, and internal fixtures.
  • Replace or repair doors, windows, walls, and other structural elements.
  • Ensure proper storage and security of tools, materials, and maintenance supplies.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and functional campus environment.
  • Work extended hours when required to support urgent maintenance needs.

Minimum Requirements

  • Standard 8 / Grade 10 certificate.
  • Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate elementary machines and equipment.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when needed.
  • Practical, hands-on approach with attention to detail.
