Position Overview: Clerk – Payroll

TWK Agri is seeking a Clerk: Payroll to join its Corporate Services division in Piet Retief.

This role is responsible for accurate payroll processing, maintaining compliance with statutory regulations, and supporting HR administrative functions across the employee lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately in line with company policies and legal requirements
  • Maintain and update payroll records (timesheets, allowances, deductions, employee changes)
  • Handle monthly payroll inputs, reconciliations, and submissions
  • Administer Provident Fund processes in compliance with legislation
  • Support employee lifecycle administration (appointments, transfers, terminations)
  • Resolve payroll queries and discrepancies confidentially
  • Liaise with departments to ensure accurate payroll information
  • Assist with payroll reporting and ensure deadlines are met
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and statutory requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Diploma/Degree in Human Resources (advantageous)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to handle confidential information

Advantageous Skills

  • Experience with Sage People 300 system
  • Bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
  • Valid Driver’s License (Code 08)
