Position Overview: Machine Technician (Manufacturing Jobs South Africa)
VKB Group is hiring a skilled Machine Technician to join the Crown Bag division in Harrismith. This role is ideal for experienced professionals in manufacturing, machine operations, and industrial engineering.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up production machines, ensuring optimal output, maintaining quality standards, and minimizing waste in a high-performance production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up machines and maintain production line efficiency standards
- Perform product changeovers between different manufacturing runs
- Conduct operator-level maintenance and machine servicing
- Diagnose and resolve machine faults and technical issues
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with standards
- Optimize production processes to reduce waste and improve output
- Plan workflows to meet production targets and deadlines
- Conduct routine daily analyses of machine performance
- Facilitate training for machine operators
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric Certificate)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a machine operator or technician
- Experience with Triumph machines (advantageous)
- Knowledge of bag-making, packaging, or flexographic printing processes
- Strong understanding of production and manufacturing environments

- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
