About the Social Media Manager Role

This position focuses on building strong digital brand identities for a restaurant and student accommodation business. The successful candidate will create engaging content, manage online communities, and ensure consistent brand storytelling across platforms.

You will be responsible for transforming everyday moments—events, food, and lifestyle experiences—into high-performing social media content.


Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Strategy

  • Produce at least 5 high-quality content pieces weekly.
  • Capture event content (e.g., quiz nights, themed breakfasts, holidays).
  • Create static posts, reels, and carousel content.
  • Repurpose viral content for improved engagement testing.
  • Produce weekly content for luxury student accommodation branding.

Community Management

  • Manage and engage online communities across multiple brands.
  • Respond to comments, messages, and audience interactions.
  • Oversee and mentor student content creators.
  • Coordinate user-generated content (UGC) campaigns.

Marketing Collaboration

  • Work closely with the marketing team to align campaigns.
  • Assist with menu updates and promotional redesigns.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bakery teams to identify trending food items.
  • Ensure both digital and physical menus remain up to date.

Paid Media & Promotion

  • Boost at least 3 reels or carousels weekly on Meta platforms.
  • Support promotional campaigns such as quiz nights.
  • Manage event bookings and post-event engagement content.

Brand Management

  • Maintain brand content devices and media storage systems.
  • Ensure consistency in tone, visuals, and messaging.
  • Assist with staff branding elements such as uniforms.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office:
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)
  • Ability to work weekends and during events when required
  • Strong creativity and trend awareness
