About the Role

The Sales Person at Bradlows Soshanguve Mall is responsible for generating income and maximising profit through the sale of furniture and related products and services, underpinned by an unwavering commitment to excellent customer service. In this role, you will perform sales activities to drive revenue, achieve sales budgets and targets, attract and retain customers through effective merchandising, process cash and credit transactions in line with company policy, and engage with every customer in a genuinely customer-centric manner.

Key Responsibilities of a Sales Person

Sales Generation & Target Achievement

  • Perform all sales activities on the floor with purpose and energy, actively engaging with customers to identify opportunities and convert enquiries into sales.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed sales budgets and targets as set by store management, contributing to the overall revenue and growth objectives of the Bradlows Soshanguve Mall store.
  • Apply sales and prospecting processes effectively to build a pipeline of potential customers and maximise conversion rates across all product categories.
  • Demonstrate courage and confidence in approaching customers, presenting products, handling objections, and closing sales in a professional and customer-friendly manner.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain positive, lasting relationships with customers, encouraging repeat business, referrals, and long-term loyalty to the Bradlows brand.
  • Identify individual customer needs through active listening and effective questioning, recommending products across all categories that genuinely best suit those needs and budget requirements.
  • Deal with all customers in a consistently customer-centric manner, ensuring that every interaction reflects Bradlows’ commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction.

Merchandising & Store Presentation

  • Attract and retain customers through effective in-store merchandising — ensuring that displays are well-presented, products are correctly labelled, and the sales floor is consistently clean, organised, and visually appealing.
  • Demonstrate extensive product knowledge across all categories in the store, enabling confident and accurate product recommendations that support customer decision-making.
  • Support the maintenance of stock presentation standards on the floor, alerting management to replenishment needs, damaged stock, or display concerns.

Cash, Credit & Administrative Processes

  • Action all cash and credit processes and administration accurately and in full compliance with Bradlows’ business policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all sales transactions — including deposits, instalments, and credit applications — are processed correctly, timeously, and with full supporting documentation.
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of business policies and procedures relevant to the sales function, including credit policy, returns, and customer account management.

Teamwork & Self-Management

Minimum Requirements – Sales Person

Educational Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (essential)

Experience:
