About the Role
Empact Group Food Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Bookkeeper to execute financial administrative tasks, financial reporting, and credit management for food units across the Central Region. In this role, you will take ownership of the full month-end process for over 30 units, analyze trading results, manage cash receipts and debtor allocations, track weekly gross profit (GP) and stock levels, and support regional managers with actionable financial insights.
This is an active financial role that requires strong business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and data manipulation skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment, possesses sound knowledge of SAP and credit management systems, holds a valid driver’s license with own reliable transport for site visits/audits, and is willing to work overtime when operational requirements demand.
Key Responsibilities of a Bookkeeper
Month-End Processing & Financial Reporting

Execute and complete the full month-end process for over 30 food operational units.

Prepare monthly journals, invoices, and General Ledger reconciliations.

Perform analysis of monthly trading results, identify variances, and present financial findings to the Management Accountant and Regional Managers.

Facilitate monthly results sign-offs and provide income statements with comprehensive breakdowns to business units.
Credit Management & Revenue Allocation

Manage an area of a debt book exceeding 30 client accounts.

Process all cash received into bank accounts daily and allocate receipts promptly upon receiving remittance advices.

Follow up with clients regarding outstanding payments and unallocated receipts to maintain optimal credit control.
Operational Monitoring, Budgets & Audits

Track and monitor weekly GP, stock levels, and daily/monthly unit workflows across accounting systems (SAP / CSFAB / AS400).

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and ad-hoc financial modeling.

Conduct site visits and perform financial audits at operational units.

Lead the financial setup and system interfaces for new unit mobilizations and demobilizations, while assisting with year-end audit requirements.
Team Support & Client Relations

Provide financial guidance and support to unit managers and in-unit staff for all accounting queries.

Resolve customer-related financial issues promptly and maintain adherence to company financial policies.
Minimum Requirements – Bookkeeper
Educational Qualifications:
