Purpose of the Role:
Operate processing equipment in the Cheese Portion Packaging (CPP) factory while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures to maintain efficiency and product quality.
Requirements:
- Education:
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4.
- Diagnostic competency assessment.
- Tertiary qualification in Operations or Quality Management (advantageous).
- Experience:
- Machine operation experience in CPP is advantageous.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in FMCG or food production, applying job-related concepts and techniques.
- Skills:
- Fluent in Business English.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities:
Plant Operation and Monitoring:
- Operate processing equipment following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor and control plant processes to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Maintain records of production variables such as volume, yield, uptime, downtime, and utility consumption.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure product integrity and compliance with quality standards.
- Understand and interpret QA results, taking appropriate actions when needed.
- Maintain detailed production and QA records.
Maintenance and Safety:
- Communicate equipment-related issues to the maintenance team.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities and assist with diagnosing troubleshooting issues.
- Conduct cleaning-in-place (CIP) procedures and prepare equipment for sanitation.
- Participate in safety programs and maintain plant cleanliness.
Inventory and Supplies:
- Monitor the usage and inventory of process chemicals and supplies to minimize waste.
