Job Purpose
We are looking for 10 Shop Assistants / Cashiers to join our team at Riverstone Mall. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, managing point-of-sale operations, and ensuring a positive store experience for all customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Point of Sale Operations: Accurately process transactions, scan merchandise, and handle cash safely.
- Clubcard Promotion: Proactively promote the Clicks clubcard and enroll new members to meet participation targets.
- Customer Service: Provide superior service, acting as a brand ambassador with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Sales Promotion: Inform customers about current promotions to boost sales and enhance the shopping experience.
- Merchandising & Housekeeping: Ensure that the store is visually appealing, with merchandise displayed according to standards.
- Product Knowledge: Stay updated on product offerings, promotions, and events to provide customers with accurate information.
Minimum Requirements
- Education:
- Essential: Grade 12
- Desirable: Maths 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level
- Experience:
- Desirable: Experience in a customer-facing role in retail or FMCG
- Skills:
- Basic maths and numeracy skills
- Strong customer focus and communication skills
- Computer literacy and problem-solving abilities
- Strong planning and organising skills
