Brights Hardware is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Person to join our Tools Department in Blackheath. If you have a passion for hardware sales, customer service, and product knowledge, this is your chance to be part of a leading retail hardware company.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Assist Customers Professionally – Help customers choose the best tools for their needs
✔ Drive Sales & Customer Satisfaction – Provide expert product advice to generate more sales and improve customer experience
✔ Stock Control & Ordering – Monitor stock levels, conduct regular stock counts, and place orders when needed
✔ Product Knowledge – Understand and recommend tools that best solve customers’ problems
✔ Merchandising & Pricing – Ensure proper product displays and accurate pricing
✔ Administrative Duties – Maintain customer records, process special orders, and forward invoices
✔ Housekeeping & Maintenance – Keep work areas clean and organized
✔ Stock Taking – Participate in perpetual stock takes to ensure inventory accuracy
✔ Team Collaboration – Work closely with colleagues to achieve department sales goals
Minimum Requirements
✔ Matric Certificate (or equivalent)
✔ 3+ years of sales experience in an Electrical/Tools department
✔ 3+ years of experience in a similar role within a hardware retail environment
✔ 5 basic technical supplier competency certificates – Advantageous
✔ Customer Service Training – Preferred
✔ Strong sales techniques & intermediate product knowledge
✔ Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
✔ Ability to work independently and in a team
