Job Description

Tsebo Solutions Group is seeking a Catering Manager for their Healthwise division. The successful candidate will manage and guide the kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation, presentation, and service. The Catering Manager will also be responsible for meeting TSEBO’s grading standards and ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and take full responsibility for all food service activities at the unit
• Set and manage service delivery standards
• Lead, motivate, train, and develop a team of kitchen staff
• Implement and maintain operational controls to stay within budget
• Ensure food preparation, presentation, and service meet quality standards as per grading checklist
• Handle daily HR and IR matters, including training, performance management, and development
• Anticipate client needs and resolve any potential complaints
• Organize, prepare, and coordinate all catering functions
• Oversee administration, finances, debtors, budgets, and P&L reports
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and customers
• Be available to work long hours and weekends as required
• Stay updated on the latest food trends and best practices

Qualifications

• Matric
• Relevant tertiary qualification (an advantage)
• 5-8 years of relevant experience
• Preferably own vehicle (advantage)
