Position Overview

The Sales Executive – Vereeniging role is a frontline business development and sales position within the Micro Merchant Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for prospecting, converting, and managing merchant relationships, driving revenue growth while promoting digital payment inclusion in informal and underserved markets.

This role is ideal for an ambitious, self-driven sales professional who thrives in field sales, merchant engagement, and solution-based selling.


Key Responsibilities

  • Consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Prospect, qualify, and convert new merchant opportunities
  • Engage with informal traders and small business owners to expand market presence
  • Recommend suitable digital payment and VAS solutions based on merchant needs
  • Install and activate fintech devices, ensuring full functionality and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting via CRM systems
  • Ensure contracts are processed accurately and efficiently
  • Identify new business areas to increase market share and merchant penetration
  • Drive product visibility and availability within assigned territories
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities
  • Proactively propose solutions to overcome sales challenges

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven sales experience in a technical or product-driven environment
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve or exceed sales targets
  • Strong customer engagement and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to install and troubleshoot electronic devices
  • Experience in customer needs analysis and solution selling
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation ability
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field (advantageous but not essential)
