Position Overview

Fidelity Security Services is currently recruiting a Site Supervisor / Shift Leader (PSIRA Grade B) to be stationed at a high-profile client site in Durban. Reporting directly to the Site Manager (Engen Site), the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily site security operations, supervising security personnel, and ensuring full compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

This role is ideal for an experienced security professional with strong leadership, operational planning, and client-liaison skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong professional relationships between Fidelity Security Services and the client
  • Continuously evaluate service delivery levels and recommend improvements
  • Conduct ongoing risk assessments of the client’s premises and implement access control measures
  • Audit and verify access registers daily and compile exception reports
  • Ensure all security officers comply with contractual and site-specific requirements
  • Supervise, manage, and discipline security staff effectively
  • Address staff queries promptly and professionally
  • Submit accurate and timely operational reports to the Security Manager
  • Manage site operations, assets, and security equipment

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
  • PSIRA Grade B registration (valid and accredited)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a security supervisory role
  • Firearm training on handgun, shotgun, and rifle
  • Valid firearm competency certificate
  • Clear criminal record
  • Full knowledge of the Firearms Control Act
  • Computer literacy (MS Word & Excel)
  • Medically fit and willing to work shifts
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Must reside in Wentworth, Durban, or surrounding areas

Advantageous Qualifications

  • Experience in Quality Management Systems
  • NOSA / ISO Safety Training
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems
  • NKP (Non-Key Point) site experience
