Pedros is looking for a motivated Griller to join their busy Mitchells Plain Westgate store. The role focuses on preparing, seasoning, and grilling menu items to Pedros’ quality and safety standards while maintaining speed, consistency, and presentation in a fast-paced environment.
🧾 Key Responsibilities
🍗 Cooking & Food Prep
- Prepare, season, and grill chicken and other menu items per approved recipes
- Monitor cooking temperatures, timing, and portion control
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet brand standards
🧹 Kitchen & Safety Operations
- Conduct daily equipment checks and report faults
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards
- Manage stock rotation (FIFO) and minimise waste
- Clean grills, workstations, and utensils regularly
- Assist with stock counts and ingredient preparation
👥 Team Support
- Support kitchen operations during peak periods
- Comply with all health, safety, and company policies
🎓 Requirements
- Previous kitchen or grilling experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
