Position Overview
The Warehouse Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the distribution centre. This role involves handling receiving, inventory management, picking, packing, and dispatch processes with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Stock Handling
- Offload inbound deliveries and palletise stock
- Count, verify, and label incoming goods
- Wrap pallets and prepare stock for movement
- Move stock to staging areas safely and efficiently
Inventory Management
- Perform stock movements using warehouse scanners and systems
- Execute bin-to-bin transfers, consolidation, and replenishment
- Conduct cycle counts and stock checks to ensure accuracy
Picking & Packing
- Pick orders accurately for internal and customer requirements
- Pack goods efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Ensure all orders meet operational and customer expectations
Conveyor & Distribution Operations
- Operate conveyor systems and related machinery
- Load and offload stock for dispatch
- Scan goods to ensure accurate tracking and delivery
General Warehouse Support
- Assist with labelling, pallet repairs, and housekeeping
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment
- Complete equipment checklists and report faults
Health & Safety Compliance
- Adhere to Occupational Health & Safety regulations
- Follow all distribution centre safety protocols
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric (NQF Level 4)
- 2–5 years’ experience in a warehouse or distribution centre
- Understanding of stock control and loss prevention
- Valid driver’s license
- Medically fit for physical warehouse work
- Reliable transport to Blackheath DC
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Clear criminal and credit record
