Position Overview
The Branch Manager: Mechanisation will manage all aspects of the Empangeni branch, including operations, sales, parts support, stock control, HR/IR functions, administration, and customer service. The role ensures profitability, operational compliance, high-quality customer care, and efficient workflow across all mechanisation activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Full accountability for all branch operations and staff supervision
- Oversee daily operational, administrative, and POS processes
- Manage stock control, shrinkage, and regular stock takes
- Ensure sales and expenses align with budget targets
- Operational and strategic planning for branch performance
- Implement process improvement initiatives and maintain operational standards
- Supervise parts sales activities, quotations, and invoicing
- Deliver high levels of customer care and maintain client satisfaction
- Train, mentor, and develop employees to achieve performance objectives
- Maintain knowledge of spare parts, workshops, and mechanisation procedures
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- Computer literate
- Valid driver’s licence
- Relevant degree or diploma (advantageous)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanisation management in the agricultural sector
- Experience in agricultural parts sales
- Strong knowledge of management principles, operational planning, and staff development
- Assertive, analytical thinker with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently under pressure
